The Official Game Event Selection Board, an affiliated organization of The WCG Organizing Committee, is taking procedures to finalize the official games for the 1st World Cyber Games.
The board is planning to announce the official games after examining their popularity and their suitability for the event.
The procedures will follow the standards of the World Cyber Games, and selection will be confirmed by the two Co-Chairmen of the 1st World Cyber Games Organizing Committee.
The 12 games include PC games, Playstation2 Console games, and Korean domestic games.
The Official candidate games for the 1st World Cyber Games are as follows.
12 Games are being considered, and they include the official games of the World Cyber Game Challenge, held last October, such as, ‘StarCraft Broodwar’, 'QuakeIII:Arena’, ‘FIFA2001’, etc., and a console game ‘Tekken Tag Tournament’, Korean games, such as, ‘Fortress 2 Blue’(Produced by CCR), and ‘Tetris’(Produced by Han Game). The final announcement will be made in mid May.
