I have WinME and it never gave me unexplained UE errors.
It IS the screencard and the type of drivers you use.

Detonator 6.50 ad 12.41[WHQL] DO WORK.
I'm using 12.41[WHQL] right now.

Use crappy/high-beta drivers...UE errors or just won't work properly.
