What's a game mod?
A game mod or rather modification is a variation on the original game. Mods are normally created by members of the gaming community to either change aspects of a game or add features to the game. An example of a mod would be changing a normal deathmatch style game into a team style game.
Today some multiplayer mods have become more popular than the original game, eg: Counter-Strike for Half-Life.
